π Position Overview
Under the supervision of the Chief Migration Health Officer and Head Nurse, the Migration Health Nurse will provide critical healthcare services to migrants and refugees at the Migration Health Assessment Centre (MHAC).
β Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily clinical services: full medical exams (vitals, blood, urine, sputum), imaging, lab testing, vaccinations, TB management, treatments, and referrals.
- Maintain patient records, identification, biodata entry, certification, documentation, and info transmission.
- Ensure SOP compliance and universal precautions in all procedures.
- Prepare and monitor clinic pharmacy, medical kits, emergency stocks, and surgical supplies.
- Provide counselling on TB, HIV, and health education, pre/post-departure orientation and mobile clinic support.
- Assist with medical escorts and partner coordination (embassies, UN agencies, panel physicians).
- Generate administrative and statistical reports, maintain databases, and prepare program updates.
π Mandatory Qualifications
- Education: Bachelorβs Degree in Nursing (with β₯2β3 years relevant experience), or High School Diploma in Nursing with β₯4β5 years clinical experience.
- Certification: Valid Nepal Nursing Council license.
- Clinical proficiency: Skilled in phlebotomy, TB management, vaccinations, lab testing, and communicable diseases.
- Digital literacy: Comfortable with MS Word, Excel, Access.
- Communication: Fluent in Nepali and English.
